A fabulous sweep of colour in this wildlife-friendly and sustainable garden designed by Kate Frey. A 1923 wind-powered water pump feeding a wooden water butt form the focal point, surrounded by wild flowers, some being wetland plants enjoying the damp surroundings of the overflowing butt. The colourful carpet includes orange Californian poppy (Eschscholzia californica), white and yellow poached egg plant (Limnanthes douglasii), stunningly deep blue Californian bluebell (Phacelia campanularia), goldfields (Lasthenia glabrata) and scarlet flax (Linum grandiflorum 'Rubrum'). (In the background, the sides of the Great Pavilion rise above the show garden).
