Fetzer Vineyard, RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2007 show garden

Carpet of colour beneath grape vines 2 - copyright (c) Alec Scaresbrook

A carpet of colour beneath grape vines in the garden designed by Kate Frey. These Californian wildflowers that we can grow here include orange Californian poppy (Eschscholzia californica), white and yellow poached egg plant (Limnanthes douglasii), stunningly deep blue Californian bluebell (Phacelia campanularia) and goldfields (Lasthenia glabrata). Also crimson clover (Trifolium incarnata) - a common agricultural crop.
