1. Horticultural careers advice - where to start

Horticultural work and careers

The Institute of Horticulture has a good overview for school leavers and adults, plus descriptions of jobs and courses, and the Royal Horticultural Society has solid information too.

Details of different jobs

Learn Direct has job profiles that accurately describe what a job entails, what qualifications are required, opportunities for training, wages to expect, and useful contacts.

General jobs and careers advice

If you're not too sure what job or career is for you, Connexions is a good start for advice for 13-19 year olds (up to 25 years for those with learning difficulties, disabilities or both). For adults, start at the Job Centre.
