8. Planting ideas - crops for windowboxes and troughs in the sun

Bushy plants:

Thyme - evergreen but can look scruffy in winter.

Sage - evergreen but can look scruffy in winter.

Chives - die down every winter.

Marjoram - evergreen.

Rosemary - evergreen, may be killed by hard winter.

Parsley - replace each spring.

Spring onions - grow from seed.

Radishes - grow from seed.

Patio vegetables - grow from seed.


Trailing plants:

Tomato 'Tumbler' - grow from seed.

Strawberry 'Sensation' - grow from seed.
