Scarecrow (no modern materials used) in one of the apprentices' plots, standing between rows of kale 'Ragged Jack' and celtuce in the Apprentice House Garden in August. Kitchen/cottage garden as it might have been in 1830s, maintained using traditional methods and materials. Plants and cultivars predominantly pre-1900.
